Some people go to Hawaii for the beaches or the food, I go for the wildlife.
I love Kauai! There is something extremely special about getting up everyday and seeing sea turtles on the near beach and then also witnessing monk seals come ashore after a large meal. On the way home we interact with the chickens and even the local cats.
On the island of Hawaii, we saw a sign for “Wildlife Crossing” but had no idea what to expect. Then I saw goats, and it all made sense…lots of rocks and grass.
