I came across the new White House Blog today: http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/. Although it is not WordPress
– I will definitely follow this and see how they actually use it. If you have never been to the White House web site – it is definitely worth a visit. The site has all kinds of facts, videos, speeches, and of course – the blog.

My Company Blog: Reloaded
If you find my WordPress and web development posts helpful, I would also recommend reading my company blog. I have been the last few weeks making sure that the content was more organized, the layout was clearer, and the posting frequency increased. I generally post about WordPress related tricks, tips, howtos, but also post about other web development topics as well. Hopefully you will find it helpful!
wordpress 2.0
I finally had a few minutes to download the latest Release Candidate of WordPress 2.0 yesterday and install it. Like usual, I created a full backup of my current site files and database, then installed the new version of WordPress and ran the super easy “upgrade” script. I was extrememly surprised when I did not encounter any real issues…especially since I hacked together so much with WordPress 1.5. My plugins worked and this I am able to post! I have not had a lot of time to play around with all the new features (most which are behind the scenes), but I look forward to checking them out soon.
I am including a screenshot of the admin area to show anyone who has not used a CMS or a blog just how easy it is to post content on a web site. If you can type and click a mouse button, you can have your own web site
If you have never played with AJAX, there are lot of little AJAX goodies in this latest release! Good job WordPress developers on the new release!

ken.jappler.com
Well, well. Ken and I often play Yahoo! Pool and to make things interesting, I thought we could play a best of 3, winner gets some sort of web service (coding/design, etc) from the loser. I played a good first game, but Ken went 2-0, causing me to create and set up: ken.jappler.com. Do not worry, I plan to win today, and since Ken is a Zen Certified Engineer, you know I will get something good. ![]()
